Anyhoo, what I remember from the cold war years is that Russians weren’t the problem per se — it was the commies we couldn’t trust. Don’t know the political leaning of these two mathematicians.

Besides, Mallett is from the University of Connecticut — you can’t get much more trustworthy than that, now can you?

In fact, they even tried to invade Afghanistan and couldn’t pull it off so they must also be weak. In short- time travel may or may not be possible, but who can trust the Russiians?

Even if CERN doesn’t allow physicist to see what they predict they might, could or should see – it’s still very cool.
