The normal living spaces would be on the outside of the cylinder and would kept at 1 G.

I imagine that a zero-g gymnasium in the center of the ship would be popular.

A direct observation deck could be put at the front of the ship. It would have a compensating spin so that it would be stationary relative to Space outside the ship. Which means that it would be zero g also.
