Not because passengers would get bored with the long ride (they&#039;d have a heck of a view), but because they would get too much radiation.

Hey, we&#039;re talking about a SPACE ELEVATOR here!  If we get the technology to build that, surely we&#039;ll be able to build better shielding.]]></description>
