I’d love to agree – it fits in so well with what Liftport intends to do.

But I can’t – we could build a contraption like that in orbit. Granted that would be expensive – we continually face a chicken-egg thing in that regard – but it’s doable.

It would be made of a superlight frame that would be assembled in space and then covered with silvered mylar.
