Comparing their bunkers to the Maginot line is unfortunate, and probably also accurate. Hitler had no problem overrunning France by going around the Maginot line.

Maybe a bunker would be good hurricane protection, but would you actually want to be encased in a bunker during a civil insurrection? All the bad guys would have to do would be to wait until you eventually ran out of food and water.
