		<description><![CDATA[I had heard that houses were numbered according to when they were built in Japan, but had never heard that blocks had names there.

I wonder if they name streets where there are no blocks.

I suspect that&#039;s why Americans do it that way.  Most streets in America have no blocks.  Just go out to rural America and you&#039;ll find that that&#039;s true.
