John Smart is an idea per second man. Wow!

First response, this is for fun: Get a snippet from that Jetson's music file and use it as theme music for a new segment of your show, The Coolest New Tech

Second: They cyber twin idea led me to this, our first brain augment may remain outside the body. Call it an AI-Pod. It would act much as Smart described, but also be a phone, a search engine on the Internet, and would build up a larger and larger profile on the user's tastes, interests, and search style.

Third, I suspect nanotechnology will be speeding things up a great deal faster than Smart thinks it will. Nanobots, utility fog, brain augments that work from the bottom up (his critique of top-down engineering is well taken), nano-replicators, will completely transform our society, and that's well before the Singularity.

Lots of food for thought in that radio interview.
